So why are our leaders still kissing their ring ? Big Oil pockets fossil fuel subsidies that could be going towards healthcare, education, and infrastructure. Imagine being worse at regulating the fossil fuel industry than Trump. Big Oil is destroying our land, destroying our oceans, and destroying our wildlife. More than 144,000 gallons of crude oil gushed into the ocean when an oil pipeline failed off the coast of Orange County in early October. The spill produced an oil slick in the Pacific the size of Santa Monica. Dead fish and birds coated with black oil are washing up onshore. That's the devastation offshore drilling causes.   There is an antidote to the environmental hellscape our planet is rushing towards.
