To fight climate change we have to stop burning fossil fuels. Well, guess who's burning most of it ? The US military. 

 

The US military is the world's largest greenhouse gas emitter and they produce more hazardous waste than the 5 largest US chemical companies combined. But instead of meeting climate change targets, Congress wants to give the Pentagon an extra $10 billion more than even what they proposed.

Historically, the United States has contributed more to the climate crisis than any other nation. That means we also need to do the most to take on this urgent threat. 

 

But instead of prioritizing climate in the Build Back Better Agenda or aggressively funding efforts to meet our greenhouse gas targets, warhawks in Congress would rather throw more money into America's war machine than seriously tackle the threat of the climate crisis. 

 

The Senate already approved the $10 billion Pentagon budget, but they can't act alone. The House still needs to sign off on this massive budget increase. This is where you can make a huge impact.
