U.S (FRIENDS OF THE EARTH) : The planet is heating up but the ARCTIC is warming twice as fast.

Friend, you might have experienced some of the record-breaking heat waves that have been hitting across the country this summer. But for polar bears in the Arctic, the negative impacts of global warming are nothing new.

The Arctic is warming TWICE as fast as the rest of the Earth, and innocent polar bears are watching as their ice habitats are melting away before their eyes.

These precious animals are literally clinging to survival, and Big Oil and Gas drilling activity in the Arctic is only making things harder for these helpless creatures.

Industrial drilling and fracking is not only terrible for the environment and increasing the rate of global warming, but it’s bringing in massive amounts of pollutants to the fragile Arctic region and putting vulnerable animals at risk of being run over or buried by snow by giant drilling machines.

Friend, how much longer will we allow the fossil fuel industry to exploit the planet for profit ? Imperiled polar bears don’t have much time left, so it’s up to us to be a voice for these defenseless animals. Please, will you speak up today to fight back against Arctic drilling before Big Oil pushes our beloved polar bears to EXTINCTION?

The disruptive noise pollution and toxic greenhouse gas emissions that oil and gas companies bring into the Arctic are impacting the entire landscape, leaving nearby residents to bear the brunt of this environmental hazard, including increased risk of dangerous oil spills that could destroy the fragile ecosystems that local people rely on for survival.

The massive machines pose a major risk of RUNNING OVER nursing mama polar bears and their cubs that are denning under the ice — or even BURYING THEM ALIVE and CRUSHING THEM underneath mounds of heavy snow.

The Biden administration has recently APPROVED a rule that permits even MORE fossil fuel activity in the Arctic — even though the U.S. Fish & Wildlife Service (FWS) confirmed a 95% probability that this increase will result in SERIOUS INJURY OR DEATH to the highly threatened Southern Beaufort polar bears who live there !

Friend, we cannot stand for any more dirty energy handouts from the federal government. That’s why we’re counting on environmentalists like YOU to help put pressure on FWS to reject this new administrative rule and say NO to increased oil drilling in the Arctic. Are you with us? Add your name right now to stand up to Big Oil and protect the Arctic >>

Thanks for using your voice to fight for the planet,
