Friend, we’re incredibly proud to announce the beginning of our latest new project: "Official Ignorance : The Death in Custody Podcast." For far too long, our criminal justice system has been marred by injustice, particularly affecting Black, Brown, and Indigenous communities. No one should die from interactions with our law enforcement agencies or an interaction with the criminal justice system, but that is the sad reality of countless people each and every day. Even the very systems meant to track these fatalities intentionally overlook the true scale of this issue. Hosted by Dr. Roger Mitchell and Dr. Jay Aronson, "Official Ignorance" is here to address this alarming reality. Together, we will share the stories of individuals who have needlessly died while in custody. Through candid conversations, engaging narratives, and insightful interviews, we can shed a critical light on the tireless efforts of activists and journalists who work relentlessly to uncover the hidden truth behind these deaths, and build momentum for systemic change.
