Every student deserves an opportunity to pursue higher education, no matter their economic background. But for generations, barriers to entry have stopped many before they’ve had a chance to try.
Our Squad is ready to fight for students and ensure that out-of-date, discriminatory policies are removed once and for all. From fighting to cancel student loan debt, advocating for free college admissions, ending legacy admissions and more — our Squad won’t stop fighting to bring true equality to every student. No matter what.
Squad member Jamaal Bowman has remained at the forefront of this fight for students’ rights. Recently, he reintroduced the Fair College Admissions for Students Act, which would end legacy- and donor-based admissions that favor the white and the wealthy.
Legislation like this can lead to a more inclusive and equitable future for us all, but only if we work together to champion this bill and legislation like it.
