Friend,    The climate crisis is here and it’s killing people : Wildfires are still raging in Maui, with 1,000 people still missing and over 100 people dead. California is dealing with flooding from the first tropical storm to hit the state in decades. And July was the hottest month ever recorded. We need bold action and we need it now. Rep. Cori Bush has led efforts in Congress to call on President Biden to live up to his campaign promises to prevent the worst impacts of the climate crisis. President Biden has authority under existing law to immediately stop fossil fuel expansion and declare a climate emergency to speed up a just transition to renewable energy. But his administration continues to approve new fossil fuel infrastructure, pipelines, and leases -- even violating Native sovereignty in the process. He needs to hear from more of us.
