U.S (OTHER98) : We’ve got to have RASHIDA’s back.

 

 

 

 

 

Friend, in response to Rashida Tlaib’s comments lifting up the humanitarian crisis & rising death toll throughout the Gaza Strip, 212 Republican members of Congress and 22 Democrats voted to officially censure the only Palestinian-American congresswoman.

Every day, over 100 children are killed in the fighting. Anti-war voices are calling for any measure of ceasefire, so that the bloodshed can be brought to an end. But instead of acknowledging that reality, Republicans accused Rashida of "promoting false narratives regarding the October 7, 2023, Hamas attack on Israel and for calling for the destruction of the state of Israel."

They’re wrong. Speaking out for the families & children affected by the widening conflict is not engaging in any of those accused behaviors, and we won’t pretend that it is.

We must have Rashida’s back. But that’s not enough – her colleagues in Congress should be fighting with her, not against her. Take a moment to write a letter of support to your representative here >>

All too often, we see anti-war voices targeted by the establishment, with their words twisted and ultimately silenced. In these moments, it is vital that the rest of us take a stand for what matters – saving as many lives as possible and ending the bloodshed.
