Friend, it's been a long, hard—and still unfinished—fight to expand the right to vote and ensure that every American has access to the ballot box since the Founding Fathers declared on this day, centuries ago, that "all men are created equal."    Our democracy is under attack today. In dozens of states, Republican lawmakers have enacted laws to make it harder to cast your vote.
