Friend,

With students back in classrooms across the country, book bans are now at a 20-year high and it’s all because right-wing extremist groups like Moms for Liberty are working diligently to erase critical lessons on racism, slavery, and LGBTQ+ topics. And their influence is undeniable with at least 245 active chapters spanning 44 states.

Now, a Moms for Liberty’s chapter in Seminole County, Florida is teaching its members how to use guns.

According to the event page, the two-session gun training is part of the group’s September social meetings. The first session was held at an undisclosed private residence on September 11 and focused on firearms safety, while the second session will occur September 25th at the Shoot Straight Gun Range in Casselberry, Florida.

The Southern Poverty Law Center has designated Moms for Liberty an "extremist anti-government" entity. Their work with hate groups such as the Proud Boys and the Oath Keepers further emphasizes the severity of the threat they pose. They aren't just a group with fringe beliefs, they're actively associating with entities known for promoting violence and hate -- and they’re meeting at a gun range.

Hate groups don’t belong on Facebook. That’s why Meta, Facebook’s parent company has already banned the Proud Boys and other extremists. It’s past time for them to dump Moms for Liberty too. Tell Facebook: Don't give Moms for Liberty a platform for hate. Ban the dangerous extremist group now.

Facebook is allowing Moms for Liberty’s divisive and harmful rhetoric to find a vast audience. This helps their destructive influence continue to grow as they mobilize targeted attacks against educators, librarians, and entire school boards.

Their persistent push to eliminate America’s “hard history” is a blatant attempt to muzzle truth and foster ignorance. And they’re using Facebook as the platform to disseminate this hate.

Facebook must recognize the weight of public sentiment against Moms for Liberty and the danger they pose to our children, teachers, and schools.

As of now, 98,322 activists have signed our petition demanding that Moms for Liberty be removed from Facebook's platform. We're on the brink of reaching a significant milestone of 100,000 signatures -- a clear testament to the nationwide consensus on this issue.

With signers from every state, including Alaska and Hawaii, this is not a localized concern; it's a national outcry.

Send an undeniable message to Facebook: Don’t give the right-wing funded extremists at Moms for Liberty a platform to organize for hate. Add your name now.

Together, we can advocate for the protection of our educational landscape and safeguard the truth for future generations.
