Dear friend,    Horrifying revelations have emerged about Texas Troopers severely violating the human rights of migrants seeking safety in the U.S. Desperate migrants were denied drinking water and forcibly pushed back into the treacherous waters of the Rio Grande. This is a crisis that demands our immediate attention. Sign the petition to END the inhumane treatment of migrants at the border. This cruel treatment was orchestrated by Texas Governor Greg Abbott as a continuation of his administration’s campaign of anti-immigrant hostility under the banner of Operation Lonestar. Collaborating closely with ICE and CBP, they have not only detained, abused, and bussed migrants out to other states, but also implemented reprehensible tactics like the installment of razor wire barriers in the water of the Rio Grande that have led to serious injuries and tragic deaths. Numerous people including children, pregnant women, and babies have suffered as a result of these callous tactics employed by Gov. Abbott’s administration.
