Last year we shed tears in public, we protested and we called for an end to senseless killings against our community. This year it’s time for us to use our anger to make a difference and fuel real change. We invite you to join the No Dreams Deferred Regional Roundtable Talk on Saturday, October 23, 2021 11am PDT/1pm CDT.

If 2021 has reminded us of anything, we know that there is still so much work to be done. Color Of Change PAC members from across the nation and community members in Minneapolis came together to call on Minneapolis City Council members and Mayor Jacob Frey to change the current model that uses police to meet every public safety need. This fall, voters in Minneapolis will head to the polls to vote on a ballot measure to create a new Department of Public Safety. Now, more than ever they need your help. 

 

 

 

Please join us from the comforts of your home for a mid-afternoon of food, community and meaningful discussions. We’re going to do what we do when our members get together--laugh, have a good time and get into the truths that we discuss when we’re the only ones in the room.  

 

Pull up to have a real talk to envision what these types of public safety measures could mean in Black Communities across the country ! 

 

This is a virtual event on Zoom, with Black folks from every corner of the country. It’s time for us to come together and demand more. We deserve to live and go about our day to day in peace--not fear. 

 

We’re launching this series to force decision makers to respond to our needs. Join us to discuss how we can organize for a new future.
