Week In Review

It's now or never -- that's the message VOCAL-NY leaders sent to Congress and Senate Majority Leader Chuck Schumer at a rally at Grand Army Plaza on Sunday. Time is running out for elected leaders in Washington to pass the Freedom to Vote Act, the John Lewis Voting Rights Advancement Act, and the infrastructure bill and reconciliation package that make up the Build Back Better agenda. Tomorrow, the Senate will be returning to session where the country will be watching if they can get the job done.

#VOCALVaccinated Updates   As a part of our #VOCALVaccinated campaign, we are partnering with NYC Health + Hospitals to provide vaccines to those who need them, and dispel myths with our outreach.  Check out NYC Health + Hospitals SHOW program, which stands for Street Health Outreach & Wellness. SHOW is a new model of mobile units aimed at providing COVID-19 tests and vaccinations, wound care, basic material necessities, and harm reduction services to New Yorkers who are unsheltered.
