Friend — Moms for Liberty (M4L), a designated hate group, promotes
a white Christian nationalist agenda and employs tactics that most moms
find abhorrent. Their rise has fueled a spike in extremism in Florida,
where they began, and they are taking their “movement” nationwide.
Using the cover of “concerned parents,” Moms for Liberty touts an
image of caring mothers to covertly spread bigotry, hate, and sometimes
messages of violence.
M4L uses Facebook to disseminate false and alarmist
rhetoric to incite hate and encourage followers to use intimidation and
violence to reinforce Christian nationalist values.

The group’s history of intimidation and violence began with
co-founder Tiffany Justice, who was nearly barred from school for her
disruptive and disrespectful behavior toward teachers. Since then,
others have been arrested for serious threats of violence and
harassment.
M4L has targeted diversity and LGBTQ+ policies and called school
board members “pedophiles' ' and “groomers,' ' and threatened them,
“We’re coming at you like a freight train ! We are going to make you beg
for mercy.”
This hateful and divisive behavior harms students, public education, and democracy.
