Dear friend,       Right now, residents in Jackson, Mississippi are experiencing a life-altering water crisis and it’s hurting Black and low-income folks the most. Compounding this, is the weight of the global pandemic when access to clean, running water is not only a necessity but a matter of life and death.   World Water Day — on March 22 — marks the observance of the importance of clean, fresh water. Color Of Change is partnering with Cooperation Jackson to provide relief to Black folks impacted by the month-long water outages. In addition to providing cases of water to families, we’ll supply our people with personal protective equipment and a hot meal to ensure that Black people in Jackson feel safe and supported in light of gross administrative failure and anti-black racism in the state legislature.   Dear friend, support for Black and low-income residents in Jackson hasn’t been coming from the top — it’s come from members like you.
