Dear friend, Jackson, Mississippi residents have been without water for a month, with the city still enacting a boil-water notice after winter storms caused outages for much of the Southeastern United States. Though the city has started restoring access, community members still don’t have access to basic necessities and Jackson’s infrastructure needs updating to ensure the crisis won’t worsen or happen again.
Unlike Texas, Mississippians have not received large media coverage of the water crisis.
