U.S (LOUISIANA) : In the wake of HURRICANE IDA, thousands of families are without drinkable water, electricity, medical supplies, safe shelter and access to food.

Friend, Hurricane Ida has been one of the strongest hurricanes to ever impact the Gulf Coast. As it came on shore, its sustained winds of 150 mph tore off roofs, blew over trailer homes, toppled trees and ravaged the greater New Orleans area. Flooding from the storm surge and heavy rains impacted areas many miles inland.

There are thousands of families without electricity and officials are warning it will take weeks to restore power. People in the area lack drinkable water, medical supplies, safe shelter, and access to food. If you are looking for ways to aid the relief efforts, please consider giving to these charities:
  • Community Foundation of Southwest Louisiana
  • Families Helping Families of Southwest Louisiana
  • Second Harvest Food Bank of Greater New Orleans and Acadiana
