Our demand is for the city of Rochester as well as the Monroe County legislature to house ALL homeless people in Rochester by October 15th to prevent homeless people from dying on the street from another dangerous winter in addition to the worsening Covid-19 pandemic ahead of us. SAVE THE DATE : INTERNATIONAL OVERDOSE AWARENESS DAY 2021. Please join the NYC harm reduction community in the Bronx on August 31for an in-person rally to demand the Governor finally take serious action on the overdose crisis by passing the Overdose Prevention Package and approving the Overdose Prevention Center pilots. This will also be a space for community members to commemorate their loved ones who have died from preventable overdose, and speak out against the drug war's destruction of Black and Brown communities. On this day we honor the dead by fighting like hell for the living ! In 2020, over 5,100 New Yorkers died from a preventable overdose. CLICK HERE to demand that Governor Cuomo course-corrects his deadly inaction, and prioritizes the overdose crisis by signing the Overdose Prevention Package passed in the legislature by International Overdose Awareness Day on August 31.

Week In Review.

On Tuesday, Attorney General Letitia James released the long awaited report, affirming that Governor Cuomo sexually harassed at least 11 women. Even with the backing of the Attorney General, VOCAL-NY's calls have remained the same: Governor Cuomo Must Resign.
