Dear friend,   Today, our members are thrilled to launch our platform for the upcoming New York City budget ! Our "Dignity, Community, and Power" platform urges the Adams administration and City Council to prioritize the well being of immigrant and working class communities across New York City.  Our launch was held ahead of Mayor Adam’s executive budget announcement. We urged Adams to stop attempts to cut vital services and instead prioritize funding and legislation to make the City more affordable and expand the safety net for our most vulnerable New Yorkers. Our members’ platform prioritizes key budget proposals and policies urging New York City to : Invest in immigration legal services; Extend CityFHEPS to all, regardless of immigration status, and provide safe, affordable housing for all NYC residents; Fully fund public schools; Strengthen worker protections; Remove police from schools;  Reallocate NYPD VICE Unit funding and stop endless overtime pay; and Ensure just pay for human services nonprofits.
