His social media accounts have been the origin of some of the worst content online, with his supporters eagerly believing and spreading his false claims. As reported by NBC News, former President Donald Trump has been indicted on about 30 document fraud-related charges in New York City, connected to hush money he allegedly paid to cover up affairs ahead of the 2016 election. While the indictment unfolds, Trump has continued to escalate his rhetoric on his Truth Social site, attempting to rally his supporters and claiming the prosecution is a political witch hunt. In light of these events, it is crucial to hold social media platforms responsible for the content they allow to spread.
